Welcome! Thank you for visiting. I’m super excited to tell you a little about myself and about Gone Pictures, a hobby that has become my career and I couldn’t be happier.
It all began when I was a young child growing up in a big family that enjoyed taking pictures. I became enamored with capturing memories and having the chance to relive the emotions of that moment, that nostalgic feeling you get when looking back at a time and remember the day like it was just yesterday, that right there was it for me. I was in love. Photos are powerful!
As time went on, my sisters felt I’d be good at acting and modeling so they introduced me to an agent that explained to us that we needed headshots first, the next day we went to see a photographer to get mine done and right away I noticed the camera, I was so interested in it that after my shoot I had to take a closer look. For a young child I sure had a lot of questions about photography according to my sisters. I knew one day I would get my own. After some years of acting and modeling, I decided to focus on just acting. From that point on, I would make friends within the acting community and would always catch myself taking a peak at their headshots which to me was a way of taking mental notes on styles of shooting. The first time I got my own camera was at the age of 14 and promised myself I would only do photography as a hobby, I would shoot any and everything from animals, buildings and nature to family portraits.
Throughout the years I would also shoot many friends and families for fun, they would always compliment and many even offered to pay me for shots, I would never accept a cent because I was having fun, this was all just a hobby I would tell them and they’d tell me I have an eye for it. At some point and time, I was working in the corporate world while trying to pursue an acting career. I was a part of the 9 to 5 crowd, waking up early commuting to work via subway, grabbing a bite to eat along the way, handling my responsibilities for the day then heading back home just to do it all over again the next day. That was my everyday life for 12 years until I decided to join the real estate world, I figured I could manage my own schedule and still do my acting. I did real estate for years and the only aspect of that field that I enjoyed was being able to take pictures of some of the most amazing homes throughout the city and I saw some pretty high end properties with the rarest of views ever.
Then came the time where I was tired of being an employee and wanted to become my own boss and right away I thought of photography. I researched and implemented what I would learn to perfect my style. At shoots for my own headshots I would ask the photographers a million questions, I gathered advice and suggestions then went to work on building my own brand.
Today, I’m working hard on becoming one of the best photographers in New York City and Northern New Jersey, providing a unique, fun and inspiring experience with a focus on providing the service desired and building strong relationships.
